platinum membership

Way back at the start, I was collecting Wexford because it was durable, widely available, affordable, and honestly the design was my kinda of fancy.

Now, I’m running out of pieces that I don’t have. At least as far as I know, anyway. For one thing, I keep finding platinum-banded glassware I didn’t know about, but there isn’t a confirmed comprehensive list.

I am up to five styles of glassware trimmed in platinum, and they are definitely among my favorites. The trim is highly reflective, dark and moody, and seems to be the most durable metal trim.

the wine goblet joins the water goblet, the rocks and beverage tumblers,
and the stemmed sherbet.

Additionally, I am learning more about the pattern through the Wexford Glassware Collectors group, for which I am grateful and excited.

If you have an interest in this pattern, check them out. Meanwhile, enjoy more of the platinum-banded Wexford.

Since joining the group, I decided to inventory my collection and I am gobsmacked at the tally.

How do a thousand little things sneak up on you so silently?

It sneaks up on you because it’s sparkly and sometimes shiny, and I like fancy. a lot.

Over one thousand pieces of Wexford pressed glass… and still looking for a few things.
