letting the imposters shine

A great migration is underway: the collection has gone in a way that some groupings have outgrown their cases, and others need to be reworked/regrouped entirely.

The silver/platinum group is definitely in the former. And it is the first group on the move.

The top shelf was the focus of this evening, comprised of as many lead crystal imposters as Wexford.

Retrieving. Cleaning. Polishing. Arranging. It was a good evening.

let’s call them The Three Sisters,
Italian lead crystal
with identical silver-plated caps.
the open bowl in the newest
imposter arriving today,
flanked by twin jam servers,
one from online, one found in the wild.
the fancy double jam server, with maybe-Wexford glassware.
the authentic Wexford cruet set,
with a Kromex chrome server.
I am unsure if this set was originally sold this way or not.
