I’ve been having great fun lately, bulking up the Wexford, adding the flatware, fillingout the go-withs.
Now that the flatware is in the mix, it is beyond time to play with some place settings. Considering that this is a household of two, many combinations are available to us. Even as we expand up to a table for eight, maybe choices are still useable, even if we don’t yet have a dining table to accommodate. LOL
First up: let’s start at the platinum level. A fancy dinner setting utilizing every platinum trimmed piece of Wexford I have.
platinum-trimmed drinkware, stemmed sherbet, and salad plate shine brilliantly, presented with the pressed, faceted details of ‘crystal’ Wexford and Interlude silverplate flatware.
Second, a splash of color: just a touch of iridescent ruby.
ruby-trimmed glassware, stemmed sherbet, and salad plate drop directly into the places of the platinum pieces, with the addition of a punch on a clear saucer.
Next: a starker contrast, pewter, silver, and just a bit of platinum.
pewter mist mingles with silver-trimmed glassware, a silver-trimmed bowl stacks on a platinum-trimmed salad plate, a silver-trimmed bread plate finishes it off.
Following, a couple simpler meal setups featuring ‘crystal’ clear Wexford, both formal and casual.
breaking out the stemware and the scalloped-edge bowls dresses up the table. the glint of glass and silver sparkles.simple pieces bring it back to casual, double rocks, beer mug, and iced tea glass replace the stems. a simple bowl begins the center stack off.
Closing out the color: a pair of complimentary contrasts.
mixing in some Royal Ruby Anchor Hocking dessert plates balances the red on the table. the ruby Pineapple Prescut marmalade lid on the Wexford sugar bowl carries color into the serving pieces.an emerald green cake plate steps in as charger to contrast against the pewter mist glassware and dishes.
Lastly, for place settings: a silly little breakfast to-do.
an open candy bowl as cereal or oatmeal bowl, a scalloped grapefruit bowl, a stemmed cup of cottage cheese, and glasses enough for water, kefir, and juice. this setting was inspired by the arrival of Interlude silverplate fruit spoons.
Wrapping up: a peak at serving pieces with servingware.
the Interlude flatware is available in a ridiculous number of pieces, lending to serving from every piece of Wexford service I can pull out of storage.

some recently acquired Peach Lustre Laurel pattern Fire-King by Anchor Hocking brings a rich base to my amber/apricot Wexford and gold electroplate flatware. the pattern is Americana Golden Heritage also by International Silver Co.
