all that delivers is gold

May has been a Wexford-forward month, leaning heavily into gold-rimmed pieces. And pretty remarkable conditions for the gold applications.

It starts with my first-ever etched gold-rimmed beer mug. There is one fine scratch on the back side of the band, but otherwise, the gold band is broad and lush and radiant.

Along side the mug came a gold-rimmed cake stand, in the original box. It was one of four serving pieces trimmed with gold and sold in the die-cut gold and white floral boxes. (The rest of the set included the salad bowl, the platter style chip-n-dip set, and the trifle bowl.)

Next in line for delivery was four-pack of full-band wine goblets. The original Golden Wexford box is branded for Fashion Manor.

Something to note about the gold-rimmed Wexford glasses: except for the mugs (which I think were a special order/custom personalization gift), the gold-rimmed glasses were sold with either a full band of gold, filling the smooth band of the glass entirely, or with a narrow band of gold applied to just the lip of the band.

Arriving at this past Monday, I added a platter-style chip-n-dip set, also in the original box. This is replacing a worn set I thrifted years ago that shows heavy signs of gold loss.

Wrapping up the gilded luster of the first half of May, are eight narrow-banded Golden Wexford beverage glasses. They were a local listing, which is nice since I can avoid the stress of shipped glassware.

It has been a rather glistening month so far, and I look forward to seeing what the second half brings.
